NIDA's cutting edge Blending Conferences are designed to highlight the science of addiction treatment and enhance interactions between researchers and clinicians. The most recent Conference: Blending Science and Treatment: The Impact of Evidence-Based Practices on Individuals, Families and Communities was convened on June 2-3, 2008 in Cincinnati, Ohio and attracted more than 1200 registrants.

Leading researchers and treatment practitioners presented their most current drug abuse and addiction findings and their application to clinical practice. The NIDA Blending Conference plenary speakers included:
